’99-’04 Kawasaki Ultra 150
Group K stage 2 mods or equivalent
Cylinder head mod, Cylinder deck mod, 44mm Novi Mega-Flow carbs, primer kit, R&D manifold, R&D stuffers, F flame arrestors,
pump shimming.
Pre-impeller mod info- With the above mentioned mods to the ski, the stock impeller spun badly out of the hole (much worse than when the ski was stock). The overall rpm peaked above 7100, which with these mods, we feel was above the efficiency level of the pump.
Impros O.E. impeller custom pitch to match- $78.00
Virtually eliminates cavitation upon acceleration, and when combined with the motor mods stated, brings the engine rpm’s to a level maximizing top speed (Approximately a 2.5 mph top speed gain). Wear-ring/impeller clearance plays a large part in the final engine rpm’s. The tighter clearance achieved provides positive gains in hook-up, but the rpm’s will drop. Utilizing the repitch, and changing the amount of shims in the pump is one way to fine-tune the overall rpm’s.
Optional “Race” Finish– Add $65.00
(Note: price based on customer sending their undamaged impeller in to be modified. Slight additional repair charges will be added if the impeller has previous damage.)
’00-’02 Yamaha GPR 1200
Typical stage 1 mods at minimum recommended to the craft for this impeller-Head mod, D-Plate, ignition, etc.
Pre-impeller mod info- Most people know that the Solas 13/19 Concordis by far the best performing impeller available for the GPR. The goal withthis many enthusiasts is to retain similar rpm and acceleration as the 13/19, but want to obtain additional top speed over what the 13/19 alreadyprovides. This custom impeller is and feels virtually the same as the 13/19 in all aspects, but produces a consistent 1-1.5 mph top speed increase.
Overall engine rpm’s come down approximately 70, with a minimum amount of low end snap reduction.
“New” Custom Solas Concord 13/20 impeller- $239.99
* Comes with our Power-Tune Stage 2 mod- Repitched, refinished and balanced to our racer spec.
If you already own a YF-CD 13/19 Solas Concord impeller, you can send it in to our facility to have it repitched to a 13/20, refinished and balanced for only $70.00. While we will repair any slight damage with your current impeller for this price, major damage (like outside severe rock damage or outside diameter repair) will cost slightly more. Check our price list for more information.
Optional “Race” Finish- Add $65.00’99-’04 Yamaha XLL/XLT 1200
Group K stage 1 mods or equivalent- Cylinder head mod, ride plate mod.
Pre-impeller mod info.- With the higher compression and ride plate modification, the craft created a lot of low speed cavitation and the overall rpm was too high, taking the impeller beyond its ideal range of efficiency.
Impros O.E. impeller modification to match- $70.00
Produces a huge acceleration increase, drastically reduces cavitation throughout the range and with the listed mods, produced maximum top speed. (approximately 2.5 mph)
We also offer a milder repitch that has proven to be effective on a stock craft, resulting in a reduction in cavitation throughout the entire range.
Optional “Race” Finish– Add $65.00
(Note: price based on customer sending their undamaged impeller in to be modified. Some additional repair charges may be added if the impeller has previous damage.)
’96-’04 Yamaha Super Jet
Typical limited and superstock mods or equivalent-Cylinder head mod, aftermarket pipe, carbs, ignition, etc.
Pre-impeller mod info.- With typical mods on the ski, but most importantly the higher rpm requirements of a Factory or Speedwerx pipe that were tested, the biggest goal was to be able to have an impeller that not only allowed the correct range of engine rpm, but naturally hooked up well off the line, accelerates well, while producing a competitive top speed. As most people already know when buying a Super Jet, the stock aluminum impeller is not an acceptable high performance option.
“New” Custom Solas Concord impeller to match- $259.00 (Also available for $239.00, not relocated in the pump)
Produces a huge acceleration increase, drastically reduces cavitation throughout the range and produced a top speed similar to our custom Solas i impeller. This modification has also been considered “the limited legal magnum pump” because of the way it keeps the pump loaded throughout the rough water and rides like you’re on a rail. This custom impeller is by far the best performing impeller we’ve ever run on a Super Jet or Wave Blaster!
Limited pitch- 13/16, relocated in the pump- with our recreation finish and balance. Superstock- contact us for a recommendation based on your engine set up.
Freestyle pitch- 13/15, relocated in the pump- with our recreation finish and balance.
* by relocating the impeller’s position in the pump, we are able to obtain a very noticable “hook up” increase. We also offer this service on any aftermarket impeller you may already own to maximize the performance.
If you already have a Solas Concord impeller, we can also modify itto these specs for the following prices:
- Power-Tune Stage 2 repitch, refinish & balance- $70.00
- Optional impeller relocating- $30.00
Optional “Race” Finish– Add $65.00
(Note: price based on customer sending their undamaged impeller in to be modified.
Some additional repair charges may be added if the impeller has previous damage.)
’98-’00 Yamaha GP 800
This application is broken into two impeller options:
- For an ideal impeller for a stock or slightly modified 800.
- For an ideal impeller for typical limited and superstock modsor equivalent- Cylinder head mod, aftermarket pipe, carbs, ignition, etc.
Pre-impeller mod info.- The GP 800 is a craft that is known for it’s common cavitating characteristics. The craft will spin the stock impeller on the low end while planing, and quite terribly in rougher conditions. While there are many designs of impellers available that fit into this pump, and some with decent improvement, The Solas Concord impeller is our choice for the ideal replacement. This design does the best job at reducing the cavititation problem, accelerates strong, and produces similar, if not better top speed gains as with a typical “speed prop” installed. We have been able to take this impeller and improve on it to provide even greater results in the area of “hook up” and top speed.
“New” Custom Solas Concord impeller to match- $259.00 (Also available for $239.00, not relocated in the pump)
Produces a huge acceleration increase, drastically reduces cavitation throughout the range and produced a top speed similar to our custom top speed impellers (common to get 1.5-2 mph. This custom impeller is by far the best performing impeller we’ve run on a GP 800. For maximum results, we highly recommend that you get the impeller relocated by us- this is the way we do it unless you specify not to have it machined back.
- Stock application pitch- 14/19, relocated in the pump- with our recreation finish and balance- $259.99, or $239.99 not relocated.
- Limited and superstock pitch- 15/20, relocated in the pump with our recreation finish and balance- $259.99, or $239.99 not relocated.
* by relocating the impeller’s position in the pump, we are able to obtain a very noticable “hook up” increase. We also offer this service on any aftermarket impeller you may already own to maximize the performance.
If you already have a Solas Concord impeller, we can also modify it to these specs for the following prices:
- Power-Tune Stage 2 repitch, refinish & balance- $70.00
- Optional impeller relocating- $30.00
Optional “Race” Finish– Add $65.00
(Note: price based on customer sending their undamaged impeller in to be modified.
Some additional repair charges may be added if the impeller has previous damage.)
’00-’04 Yamaha XL/XLT 800
The testing for this custom impeller was done on a stock XL 800, and slightly modified XLT 800.
Pre-impeller mod info.- The XL/XLT 800 comes stock with an impeller that spins badly out of the hole, and in rougher water conditions. This was out primary goal- to find an impeller that would closely match the stock impeller at top speed, but hook up better, and reduce the spinning as much as possible. We were able to come up with a simple, inexpensive way to not only meet our goal, but find substantial water speed as well. While there is currently no aftermarket impeller available that produces any positive results, the Solas Concord is the design we found to give us the best starting point.
“New” Custom Solas Concord 9/14 impeller to match- $289.99
Results: The 9/14 custom impeller produces a huge acceleration increase, (0-40 mph is much faster than the XLT 1200) drastically reduces cavitation throughout the range and produced a consistent top speed gain of 2.5-3 mph! A gain in water speed that we’d like to point out is very impressive and uncommon with a simple impeller change.
Typical top speed of the very slightly modified XLT was 51.5 mph, while producing an average 54.7 mph (radared) with our impeller.
If you already have a 10/16 YF-CD Solas Concord impeller, we can also modify it to these specs for the following prices:
- Power-Tune Stage 2 repitch, modify the blades, refinish & balance- $100.00
Optional “Race” Finish– Add $65.00
(Note: price based on customer sending their undamaged impeller in to be modified.
Some additional repair charges may be added if the impeller has previous damage.)
’98-’00 Sea-Doo GTX RFI
This modification was tested on stock machines, as well as slightly modified RFI’s, i.e. slightly higher compression, carb work, etc.
Pre-impeller mod info.- In stock or close to stock form, the RFI seems to disappoint most people upon low speed acceleration for towing and general recreation. Enthusiasts in higher elevation areas also require an impeller mod to aid in reaching the correct level of rpm’s.
Impros O.E. impeller modification to match- from $50.00
Produces a huge acceleration increase, great for towing skiers and reaching top speed faster. This was a tremendous gain at higher altitudes, the craft produced a much stronger performance increase overall. At sea-level, this particular mod reduced top speed by approximately 1.5 mph.
See our price list for additional services offered for your impeller.
(Note: price based on customer sending their undamaged impeller in to be modified.
Some additional repair charges may be added if the impeller has previous damage.)
’98-’04 Sea-Doo XP/RX (951cc)
This modification was tested on stock and typical limited set-up machines, i.e. slightly higher compression, carb work, etc.
– All using a Coffman aftermarket pipe
Pre-impeller mod info.- With the Coffman pipe installed, the stock impeller does not allow the engine rpm’s to reach the target range in which the pipe produces the maximum horsepower.
Impros O.E.M. impeller modification to match- from $50.00 (price listed is for our Power-Tune Stage 1. A Stage 2 is also available for $70.00)
By having Impros modify the original impeller, we are able to get the maximum potential out of this common set up. Gains you will see include much better holeshot along with a typical 2 mph top speed increase. If the stock impeller is not available to you anymore, we also offer a custom Solas Concord in a 14/18 pitch that offers the same rpm goals with even better top speed. This impeller sells through Impros for $240.00, and comes with our Power-Tune Stage 2 features.
See our price list for additional services offered for your impeller.
(Note: price based on customer sending their undamaged impeller in to be modified.
Some additional repair charges may be added if the impeller has previous damage.)
’98-’02 Sea-Doo GSXL/GTXL (951cc)
Like our XPL/RX projects, this modification was tested on stock and typical limited set-up machines, i.e. slightly higher compression, carb work, etc. – All using a Coffman aftermarket pipe
Pre-impeller mod info.- With the Coffman pipe installed, the stock impeller does not allow the engine rpm’s to reach the target range in which the pipe produces the maximum horsepower.
Impros O.E.M. impeller modification to match- from $50.00
(price listed is for our Power-Tune Stage 1.
’97-’01 Polaris Pro 785
This application is broken into two impeller options:
- For an ideal impeller for a stock or limited Pro 785.
- For an ideal impeller for superstock 785’s.
These recommendations are intended for closed course racing conditions.
Pre-impeller mod info.- Some of the Pro 785’s come with A NuJet made impeller, while some come stock with a Skat-Trak Swirl-type impeller; either way, we find that replacing it with our custom aftermarket Skat-Trak Swirl impeller provides the greatest results in the conditions this craft is commonly used in. The OE Skat is geometrically different from the aftermarket Skat-Trak that we recommend. The OE impeller has shorter “rock clearanced” blades, which pulls it away from the pump vanes, resulting in a less effective pump “hook up”.
Impros custom Skat-Trak Swirl impeller- $249.99
- Stock/limited application pitch- 10/18, with our recreation finish and balance.
- Superstock pitch- 10/19, with our recreation finish and balance.
Results: The custom Skat-Trak impeller produces quicker engine rpm, which results in a noticable acceleration increase for faster bouy-to-bouy times, and consistently produces more top speed (approx 1 mph on the limited, and 1-1.5 mph on a superstock) than the stock impeller.
*If you already have a Skat-Trak 12/17 or 13/18 Swirl impeller, we can also modify it to these specs for the following price:
- Power-Tune Stage 2 repitch, refinish & balance- $70.00
- Optional “Race Finish” applied- add $65.00
See our price list for additional services offered for your impeller.
(Note: price based on customer sending their undamaged impeller in to be modified.
Some additional repair charges may be added if the impeller has previous damage.)
’99-’04 Yamaha XLL/XLT 1200
High Elevation Application
A stock craft and slightly modified (head mod, ride plate mod) was tested at 4000ft. and 6000 ft. above sea-level.
Pre-impeller mod info.- With the OE impeller, the craft struggles to accelerate, and lugs the rpm’s far below the peak powerband. The overall performance of the craft is limited by the fact that the impeller was designed for sea-level use only.
Impros O.E. impeller modification to match- $70.00
Produces a huge acceleration increase, and allows the rpm’s to reach the ideal range (approx. 6850). The overall performance of the craft, including top speed was drastically improved with this impeller modification. The XLL performed like we were at a sea-level lake.
Optional “Race” Finish– Add $65.00
(Note: price based on customer sending their undamaged impeller in to be modified.
Some additional repair charges may be added if the impeller has previous damage.)
’99-’04 Yamaha SUV 1200
High Elevation Application
A stock craft was tested at 4000ft. and 6000 ft. above sea-level for this test evaluation.
Pre-impeller mod info.- Like the XLL, with the OE impeller the craft struggles to accelerate, and lugs the rpm’s far below the peak powerband. The overall performance of the craft is limited by the fact that the impeller was designed for a sea-level riding area.
Impros O.E. impeller modification to match- $70.00
Produces a huge acceleration increase, and allows the rpm’s to reach the ideal range (approx. 6850). The overall performance of the craft, including top speed was drastically improved with this impeller modification.
The SUV performed like we were at a sea-level lake again.
Optional “Race” Finish– Add $65.00
(Note: price based on customer sending their undamaged impeller in to be modified.
Some additional repair charges may be added if the impeller has previous damage.)
’99-’04 Kawasaki Ultra 150
High Elevation Application
A stock and slightly modified craft (head mod, Novi carbs) was tested at 4500ft. and 6500 ft. above sea-level for this test evaluation.
Pre-impeller mod info.- With the OE impeller in stock form, the Ultra didn’t accelerate very well at this altitude, and the rpm’s were limited far below the peak powerband (approx. 6500). The overall performance of the craft is limited by the fact that the impeller was designed for a sea-level riding area.
Impros O.E. impeller modification to match- $78.00
Produces a huge acceleration increase, and allows the rpm’s to reach the ideal range (approx. 6850). The overall performance of the craft, including top speed was drastically improved with this impeller modification. With correct pump shimming, the Ultra hooked up well and performed fantastic at these elevations.
(Note: price based on customer sending their undamaged impeller in to be modified.
Some additional repair charges may be added if the impeller has previous damage.)
’98-’00 Sea-Doo GTX RFI
High Elevation Application
This modification was tested on stock machines, as well as slightly modified RFI’s, i.e. slightly higher compression, carb work, etc. at elevations of approximately 5500 ft. above sea-level.
Pre-impeller mod info.– In stock or close to stock form, the RFI seems to disappoint most people upon low speed acceleration for towing and general recreation, especially at this high elevation lake.
Impros O.E. impeller modification to match- from $50.00
Produces a huge acceleration increase, great for towing skiers and reaching top speed faster. This was a tremendous gain at higher altitudes, the craft produced a much stronger performance increase overall. The rpm’s came back up to around 6800 and the speed came back with it.
See our price list for additional services offered for your impeller.
(Note: price based on customer sending their undamaged impeller in to be modified.
Some additional repair charges may be added if the impeller has previous damage.)
